I've been fascinated with photography (and videography) since high school. My first elective class was a media production course which really gave me insight on how television worked as well as the things that happen behind the scenes. I was in Heaven. I was taught the basics of media production ranging from photography to videography which made me literally never want to leave this class. As apart of our final grade, we had to create a one to two minute video about anything we wanted using the editing techniques we learned in class. Ever since the beginning of the semester, I knew exactly what I would do my project on... Barack Obama Campaign Run for President.
I displayed this video to the class and you couldn't tell me anything. I was extremely proud of this body of work that I had put together. In my head, I felt this was oscar-worthy, grammy-nominated, hell, then-Senator Obama should have had me display this on the campaign trail. But once my imagination stopped getting the best of me, I came back to my senses, received my A+ with a "Good Job" and continued on with my life through high school. It was at this moment I knew that this would be my hobby going forward.
Went to college in 2008 with intentions to major in computer information systems and minor in broadcast journalism but quickly found out that was entirely too much work and ultimately dropped the minor. My major kept me extremely busy those four years and I honestly never even thought about videography throughout college or even photography for that matter.
