Donell Woodson is a NJ/NYC-based, freelance photographer and videographer.
For me, becoming a photographer wasn’t something I had planned on being. I knew I had a love for it always but never took it seriously, until I graduated from college back in 2012. With the money I received from graduation, instead of using it entirely towards my relocation from Virginia to New Jersey, I re-allocated some to purchase my first DSLR camera— a Nikon D3200. I started taking pictures of a lot of still life, since that was the easiest thing to do and once I sold my first print it was at that moment I knew that this was something I wanted to continue to pursue on the side more. Since then, I’ve seen my passion for photography and videography grow immensely. I’ve received opportunities to take photos and videos for several people in the tri-state area and with several clients such as Hot97, Getty Images, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) just to name a few.
On this site, you can see some of my work that I’ve done over the last several years. My hope is to grow and mature more in the area of photography and videography and I’ll be glad if you want to be apart of that process.
